Job description

Join an industry leader developing advanced electronic security products for the transportation sector. This is a high-impact role focused on bringing new products from concept to high-volume production while improving efficiency, quality, and scalability across operations.


This role offers strong visibility and the opportunity to directly influence how complex electronic products move from development into full-scale production.


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and documentation to improve throughput, reduce defects, and ensure repeatability.
  • Lead new product introduction, including pilot builds, validation runs, and production ramp to target volumes.
  • Partner with design and quality teams to ensure manufacturability, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Define and implement tooling, fixtures, automation, and equipment to support consistent, efficient production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and vendors to meet technical and operational requirements.
  • Analyze production data, conduct time studies, and apply structured problem-solving to drive measurable improvements.
  • Improve facility layout, workflow, and space utilization to support efficient operations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment, required.
  • Proven success supporting new product introduction and scaling production lines.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes, test methods, and manufacturing equipment for electronic or electromechanical products.
  • Experience with lean tools such as 8D, DMAIC, or FMEA.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work with MES systems, CAD tools, and data analysis methods.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 25%.
