Working closely with internal Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, this position provides technical leadership to contract manufacturers, supports new product introductions and production ramp-ups, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing manufacturing processes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contract manufacturers across the U.S.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing partners to ensure process capability, quality, and compliance with Hyper standards.
  • Lead process audits, supplier evaluations, and production readiness assessments.
  • Develop and maintain production work instructions, inspection procedures, and training materials.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Support production start-ups, first article builds, and process validation activities.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and capital requirements; provide recommendations for cost reduction and investment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain on process improvements, yield, and reliability initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action for complex production and quality issues.
  • Assist with design-for-manufacturability and design-for-assembly reviews.
  • Support documentation and standardization of manufacturing and inspection processes.
  • Provide on-site support at contract manufacturer locations for training, audits, and ramp-up activities.
Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with emphasis on contract manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical power distribution equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or high-reliability products (data center, industrial, or infrastructure preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. up to approximately 35%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data center, electrical infrastructure, or power distribution manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, error-proofing, 5S, and process capability analysis.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment justification and production automation initiatives.

Why Hyper?

At Hyper, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, helping build and scale the processes that produce mission-critical power and infrastructure solutions. You’ll partner directly with contract manufacturers and internal technical teams, gaining broad exposure to product realization while playing a hands-on role in improving quality, cost, and delivery performance.

In addition to competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage and a 401(k) with company match, Hyper offers clear opportunities for professional growth and development as the company continues to scale.

Location
