MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to support our contract under Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) out of Stafford, VA. This effort is in support of Program Manager Combat Support Systems (PM-CSS), in research and development, acquisition, and sustainment of cutting-edge Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.

The purpose is to support the government team in conducting systems engineering reviews, development, test, and integration, to provide enhanced capabilities to the operating forces.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Systems Engineering support to MCSC and relevant joint stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of Advanced Manufacturing Systems.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices.
  • Develop, update, and maintain engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Technical Review Action Plans, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Interface with the Program Office to manage an engineering task tracker.
  • Analyze technical problems; develop courses of action and present recommendations to leadership on solutions.
  • Support the execution of System Engineering Technical Reviews through documentation preparation, review of criteria, preparation and presentation of briefing material.
  • Support the Engineering Change Proposal process and complete forms.
  • Support the Test & Evaluation process to verify required performance.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and at least five (5) years of relevant mission systems engineering experience. An additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Requirement’s definition and traceability, Formulating Design Methodology, Systems Integration and Testing to verify required performance, and Assessment of change proposals for technical merit.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of Defense Acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation.
  • Familiar with SharePoint postings, downloading, team-building environment.
  • Knowledge of modeling based systems engineering practices and processes.
  • Familiar with CM Pro.

Security Clearance Required:

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • This job is largely operated in a professional office environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Travel 10-20%
