Position Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing production processes. This position focuses on data analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing engineering and an interest in operational excellence.
**This is a 3 to 4 month term position**
Key Responsibilities
  • Support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support new product introductions by developing and validating manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
