Location: Flowery Branch, Georgia.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually (Based on experience).
Monday - Friday, 1st Shift (Flexible)
40hrs/wk. (ability to work overtime, when needed)

The Shipping Manager reports directly to the Yard Manager and is responsible for tracking, and handling of materials, parts, products, and stock items. This position would also support the daily operation of outgoing shipments and customer service.
Day to Day
  • Required to read Bill of Ladings and Shipping Reports.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee operations to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Ability to manage and motivate load building associates and commercial drivers.
  • Manage all daily operations of an active lumber yard that consists of scheduling inbound and outbound shipments, solving customer service issues, clearly communicating expectations with our associates, and be a valuable partner to the yard manager.
  • Keep management aware of any delays or discrepancies with suppliers or shippers.
  • Track and monitor inventory status and supply usage.
  • Schedule yard transfers as needed.
  • Review vendor invoices for potential discrepancies.
