Position Summary
The Contract Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements. This role supports business operations by safeguarding company interests, minimizing risk, and ensuring contractual obligations are clearly defined and fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, amendments, renewals, and related documents.
  • Ensure contract terms comply with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, sales, and other stakeholders to resolve contract issues.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Track contract milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and renewal dates.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and documentation in contract management systems.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support audits by providing requested documentation and contract details.
  • Analyze contract language and recommend process improvements for efficiency and consistency.

Documentation, Templates & Process Improvement

  • Oversee the preparation and continuous improvement of contract templates, proposal documents, and standard response materials.
  • Maintain, augment, and improve libraries of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce turnaround time and improve quality across bids and contracts.
  • Ensure proper documentation, version control, and retention of all contracts and proposal-related materials within designated systems.
