We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support one of our mining clients at their site-based operation in Idaho, USA. This is an exciting opportunity for a contract professional with experience supporting mining, EPCM, construction, or industrial projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in contract administration, supplier coordination, and supporting project teams to ensure contracts are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the project leadership team, the Contract Administrator will support the development, execution, administration, and management of contracts and agreements. This role will work closely with procurement, project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met, documentation is maintained, and commercial processes are followed.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing multiple contracts and priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, review, issuance, and administration of contract documentation.
- Assist with tendering activities including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Coordinate contract evaluations and support procurement activities with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare, review, and maintain contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and subcontract documentation.
- Support contract lifecycle management including tracking milestones, deliverables, amendments, and closeout activities.
- Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contractual requirements and key performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate contract records, databases, and documentation repositories.
- Assist with contract compliance monitoring and ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Support contract change management, including amendments and variations.
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance, engineering, operations, and project teams to support successful contract execution.
- Assist with resolving contract-related issues and supplier inquiries.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding contract administration processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract administration practices and processes.
- Provide timely support for contract-related requests and inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, supply chain, engineering, law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or a related field.
- Experience supporting contract development, negotiation, execution, and administration.
- Experience working within EPCM, construction, engineering, or mining environments is required.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract documentation, and vendor management.
- Experience with SAP is preferred; experience with Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project environment.
