Weekend Days Shift Premium - 10% Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6AM-6PM

Weekend Nights Shift Premium - 20% Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6PM-6AM

Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours!

Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs and manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients' most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.

We are searching for experienced and skilled CNC Machinists to join our team. This is an hourly position whose main responsibilities are to maintain production according to our production schedule. This position will report to the Manager of the appropriate department. Duties could include any of the following; Set-up, Operation, and Maintenance of CNC machines.

Our top candidates will have exceptional critical thinking, time management and communication skills, an ability to handle complex machines and tools, and a willingness to lead by example.

Position Expectations:

  • G & M code fluency and ability to edit program
  • High level of blueprint reading required
  • Proficiency with conversational controls is a plus
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
  • Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Interested in learning with, and from, engineering, and programming team to improve operations
  • Working to machine dimensions and maintain close tolerances and correlated dimensions
  • Setting and loading all tools in conjunction with set-up instructions to complete assigned jobs
  • Communicate with all levels of company employees / customers while presenting yourself as a positive representative of the company.
  • Maintain a professional attitude at all times.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • 2+ Years CNC Machining Experience in a Job Shop, preferred
  • Detail oriented with proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot / problem solve.
  • Meet deadlines while working under minimal supervision.
  • Experience using 5 axis CNC Machines, preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 10hrs daily
  • Knowledge and use of hand tools
  • Ability to work 45+ hours per week
