Job description

QC Inspector for Aerospace Machine Shop - CMM Experience Required

Purpose: To ensure quality standards are upheld in order to meet customer requirements and company quality standards.

Minimum Education Required:

High School Diploma, GED or 5 years’ shop experience

Professional Experience Required:

CMM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Inspection with Faro Arm with Verisurf Software or Keyence CMM

Responsibilities:

Inspection with Faro Arm with Verisurf Software and DISCUS software or

experience with Keyence CMM

Uphold standards set in Quality Manual to ensure adherence to AS9100

Inspect parts as required

Responsible for First Article Inspection while part is in process and upon completion

Complete AS9102 (First Article Report)

Organize and verify calibration of tools and measuring instruments

Basic Skills Required:

Read and write English

Read drawings, travelers to determine customer specification

Proficient in use of precision measuring instruments, including bore gages, thread gages, I.D, O.D. micrometers, height gauge, optical comparator, etc.

Understanding of machine shop practices

Proficient in GD&T

Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
