Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Jupiter site is looking for a new CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our Contract Logistics team. As Truck Driver, you are responsible for loading and unloading a truck, driving a truck, transporting customer owned products, ensuring accuracy of paperwork, adhering to safety rules, and meeting strict delivery deadlines. You must be available to work split shifts as required. The exact days and schedule will be finalized and discussed during the interview process. The working hours for this position are from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. Compensation is provided at a competitive rate of $27.25 per hour, with payments made on a weekly basis.

Your Responsibilities
  • Transporting parts and tooling to production and development facilities
  • Securing material and tooling inside truck
  • Transporting Engines to test sites
  • Picking up and delivering boxes and packages
  • Transporting hazardous material (fuel) to test sites
  • Transporting hazardous material (fuel) samples to on site lab
  • Loading and unloading of material and tooling
  • Maintaining records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities
  • Inspecting vehicles before operation
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Read and comprehend written documents such as work instructions, job aids, bill of materials, shipping and delivery documents
  • Ensure loads match transportation orders communicated by yard management system
  • Meet all safety requirements
  • Ability to work in a shared work area
  • Ability to follow proper procedures and guidelines
  • Being able to work in all weather conditions
  • Being able to meet strict delivery deadlines
  • Perform vehicle safety checks
  • Obey and follow established traffic and transportation policies
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
  • Maintains records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities
  • Submit and pass random Drug and Alcohol screening as require
  • Other duties as assigned

What we would like you to bring
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Minimum Education: High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum Requirement: CDL License, Class A with at least 1 year experience. Two (2) years' experience preferred
  • Must have Hazmat Endorsement
  • Must have Driver Qualification Training / Driver Training Course from approved training provider
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must have flatbed experience
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
  • Ability to work with a team or work alone and be self-motivated
  • Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Overtime and weekends may be required
