Job Description Knight Federal Solutions (KFS) is seeking a visionary and results-driven Contracts Manager as the primary contracts professional supporting capture efforts, contract administration, and negotiations across a portfolio of government and commercial programs. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting contract requirements, leading proposal preparation efforts, ensuring proper contract fulfillment, and advising leadership on contractual rights, obligations, and risks. The successful candidate will bring strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to managing complex, multi-stakeholder contracting environments. Key Responsibilities * Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts, with management support as appropriate * Review and interpret contract requirements, terms and conditions, and change impacts; develop contract positions as they relate to risk and opportunity * Supports in preparing proposals in response to solicitations, including coordinating and participating in management reviews, fact-finding, and proposal submission * Coordinate with functional teams and management to lead the internal proposal approval process * Conduct contract negotiations through award and execution * Ensure proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications * Advise leadership and program management of contractual rights, obligations, and risks * Monitor contract requirements and associated program funding and deliverables to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated, understood, and followed * Maintain and update contract documents, official program records, and historical contract information, including all contractual documents and correspondence * Ensure compliance with company procedures and government regulations, including FAR/DFARS * Perform contract closeout activities * Maintain open, healthy, and high-value relationships with both internal and external customers Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration and management or related fields (e.g., compliance, legal), or a Master's Degree plus a minimum of 3 year of relevant experience * Ability to interpret RFPs and contract terms and comprehend financial and business concepts, including cost structures and estimates of labor, materials, performance requirements, and delivery schedules * Experience with proposal preparation, management reviews, fact-finding, contract negotiations, and contract award and execution * Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), with the ability to learn and apply additional software applications as required * Excellent written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented, team-focused, and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance * U.S. Citizenship required Preferred Requirements: * Knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations; experience interpreting and negotiating standard USG FAR/DFARS terms and conditions and/or Direct Commercial Sale terms with companies * Experience with various contract types, including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, and others * Experience in U.S. Government Department of Defense contract administration and management * Experience with business, accounting, and financial systems (e.g., Unanet) * Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-value customer relationships while maintaining versatility and flexibility in demanding situations Knight Federal Solutions provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information or any other protected classification.
