Job description

Hypower has an immediate opening for temporary Laborer/Pipe layer Electrical Underground Utilities in Tampa area. This position earns a competitive hourly wage of $17-$18/hr, depending on experience.

JOB BRIEF

We are seeking a laborer for electrical underground trench pipework.  Working hours can be daytime or nighttime. You must be able to work the night shift when required.  Applicants should possess general knowledge of underground electrical utility installation, trenching and excavation regulations and pipeline safety. A successful candidate should possess prior experience in laying electrical pipe.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experience in Power Utility and or Florida Power and Light (FPL) pipe installation is an advantage
  • Must have the ability to work extended hours including night shifts as required by the workload
  • You must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to pass a background check to obtain badging credential to work in Port of Tampa
