The faculty of Health, Community and Education is comprised of four departments: Health and Physical Education, Education, Child Studies and Social Work, and Nursing and Midwifery which offer a variety of degree, diploma, and certificate programs. About the Role The Department of Education invites applications for sessional contract instructors starting in the Fall 2026 semester. The Department of Education currently offers a four-year Bachelor of Education - Elementary degree.

Responsibilities The Department of Education invites applications for a contract instructor position in EDUC 2371 Language Development and Literacy, which will commence September 1st, 2026. The semester ends on December 22nd, 2026. The following sections are available: EDUC 2371-002 -- Thursdays 8:30 - 11:20 a.m

EDUC 2371-003 -- Fridays 8:30 - 11:20 a.m. Qualifications Qualifications include a Master's degree in Education or equivalent, with a Ph.D. preferred

Recent teaching experience in the K-12 system, with K-6 preferred and experience with English Language Arts. Relevant undergraduate teaching and/or professional experience. The successful candidate will be required to provide the University with academic transcripts from degree-granting institutions.

Employment contracts will be rescinded if the requirements are not met. Closing Date: Open until a suitable candidate is found. The committee will begin reviewing resumes at the end of May.
