Aerospace Transparencies Facilities Engineer

Huntsville, AL

Are you a dedicated and driven Facilities Engineer who is ready to take their career to new heights? PPG is looking for you to join our team, APPLY TODAY!

As the Aerospace Transparencies Facilities Engineer you will support our two manufacturing facilities in Huntsville, AL. You support the regular upkeep and improvements, including planning, organizing, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

You will work on-site at our Huntsville, AL facility and report to the Strategic Planning Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the status of the facility from the basement to the roof including air handling units, water systems, air and vacuum systems, and more.
  • Maintain facility operations and ensure vital support equipment is functioning properly.
  • Support EHS programs such as life critical rules throughout the facility.
  • Manage all maintenance contracts with vendors, and assure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Coordinate with production and other stakeholders regarding project scheduling and fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to accomplish tasks.
  • Suggest areas for improving facilities operations with a focus on energy savings and equipment uptime.
  • Manage budget for facility projects and spending for the facilities department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or other related discipline preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience or project experience related to the upkeep of a factory/facility preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience helpful, but not required.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly between our two facilities, both located in Huntsville, approximately 20 minutes apart to support both sites.
  • Some weekend or evening work may be required to troubleshoot issues.
