Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector (NGDS) is seeking a Facilities Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our campus located in Huntsville AL. This leader will support the Sr. Facilities Manager in all aspects of facilities management for the CSMR division. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one of the following facilities areas: facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing or real estate coordination. Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.
In this role you will:
  • Supervise and manage outside contractors in the repair and maintenance of the campus facilities.
  • Coordinate all facility maintenance activities to ensure supervision of multiple vendors (i.e., plumbers, electricians, etc.)
  • Coordinate with leadership, personnel, outside agencies, and programs to ensure successful execution of site activities and operations.
  • Assist Sr. Facilities Manager in setting priorities, performing forecasting, and allocation of the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Manage the maintenance activities for buildings, infrastructure, plant equipment, and systems necessary to support successful facility operations.
  • Plan and manage building modifications including major capital Leasehold Improvement (LHI) projects.
  • Ensure compliance with approved standards and policies relating to office space and furnishings.
  • Plan utilization of office space with requirements of organizational efficiency and available facilities funding

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of Facilities experience; Or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of Facilities experience; and 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience successfully managing and leading teams
  • Experience developing and administering budgets and standards of performance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, outside contractors, and project teams.
  • Must be available to handle off-hours emergencies and holiday work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • The ability to work on-site in Huntsville AL. Remote work is not available for this position.
  • Must have the ability to read building drawings and blueprints.
  • Must have the ability to write construction Statements of Work.
  • Must have strong Facilities project management experience with large budgets >$10M.
  • Must have a working knowledge of building systems, HVAC, Electrical, Life Safety, plumbing, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aerospace Industry Large Site Management Experience
  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP) Certification
  • Experience with Facilities Management Systems (Archibus, Maximo, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience with Facility management in support of Production/Manufacturing operations.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,600.00 - $173,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
