CACI is looking for a full-time Purchasing Lead to join our Engineering team in Rochester, NY. In this position, you will hold responsibility for directly supporting the R&D engineering team. This position reports to senior leadership, while working directly with all functions of the Rochester division primarily Engineering.
The position is responsible for purchasing all electronics, electrical components, assemblies, and contract manufacturing commodities (electronic and mechanical) directly from industry partners and certified sources worldwide.
Responsibilities:
  • Purchase components for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) such as active and passive components, transistors and transformers, connectors, and Integrated Circuits (ICs)
  • Purchase material for customer deliverables including Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, cabling, and accessories
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Work directly with contract manufacturers for custom design fabrication and assembly
  • Support management with research, analysis, and reports

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with teams across the organization
  • Experience with Purchase Order processing, Inventory Management, and Sales Order Processing
  • Ability to process multi-level bill-of-materials
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to systematically multitask and manage large volumes of data
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently or with other departments to support all stakeholders
  • Experience with configuration management principles and PLM systems
  • Experience or familiarity with on-site custom manufacturing and off-site contract manufacturing
  • US citizenship is required to be eligible for security clearance
