Primary Responsibilities:
  • Inside estimating for commercial and residential Water Mitigation, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Mold & Biohazard Remediation, Contents, and other Specialty Services
  • Utilize various project management tools, software, and technology (i.e. SERVPRO Enterprise Suite, DASH, MiCA, DocuSketch, Assured JobCheck, etc.)
  • Review, analyze, and validate all project documentation including sketch & scope, notes, photos, drying logs, T&M data, and 3D scan
  • Write comprehensive Xactimate and Cotality restoration estimates using documentation from the field
  • Create Time & Materials (T&M) estimates for commercial Large Loss projects
  • Request and utilize subcontractor bids to estimate specialty services
  • Draft and submit project proposals for contract work
  • Prepare final estimate/invoice packages for billing
  • Understand and adhere to client & TPA estimating guidelines and Service Level Agreements
  • Complete insurance program estimate uploads & audits through XactAnalysis & Cotality Claims
  • Maintain clear and timely internal and external communication
  • Develop and foster relationships with clients, insurance adjusters, property managers, and other key stakeholders
  • Provide 3rd-party comparative estimate & consulting services for claims adjusters and commercial partners
  • Peer-review of restoration and construction estimates for accuracy prior to submission
  • Participate in cross-departmental project After Action Reviews to identify opportunities for maximizing efficiency, revenue, margin, and client satisfaction
  • Occasionally assist with intake & general project coordination in times of high volume or as assigned
Position Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in the restoration industry
  • 1+ years experience writing Xactimate estimates is required
  • Experience writing Cotality (Symbility) estimates is a plus
  • IICRC Certifications in WRT, FSRT/OCT, AMRT is desired
  • Proficiency in project management & scoping, insurance carrier guidelines, estimate review, and negotiation
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven time management expertise with an ability to meet deadlines
  • Fast-paced, self-motivated and results-driven
  • Tech-savvy with ability to learn new software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum of HSD/GED required
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
  • Local, with ability to work in office (not remote) and participate in "On-Call" phone rotation
Work Environment & Hours
  • Full-time, in an office/administrative environment, with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
  • Normal working hours of Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for longer hours if required to meet team goals or deadlines
  • Potential to work from home on scheduled days, dependent upon proven ability and level of experience
  • Occasional "On-Call" phone rotation responsibilities (additional compensation applicable for on-call periods
