The opportunity:

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Transportation Engineer to join our team in our Edmonton office. In this role you will be responsible for transportation projects with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure. This position will present many opportunities on a variety of tasks and our expectation will be for the candidate to develop proficient skills in all areas of project delivery, including preparing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, construction management, and construction inspection.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will have the opportunity to develop a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications.
  • Conducting Site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparation of tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Experience with Construction supervision and contract administration.
  • QA/QC of Reports, Quantity Estimates, and Construction drawings.
  • Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Assisting other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, with key transportation electives or transportation project experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of transportation experience including experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Ability to travel within Canada.
