Job Summary:

The Deltek Costpoint Sr. Manager, Industry Specialty Services actively converts client requirements to a pitch-perfect system and is responsible for leading Costpoint implementations, guiding and mentoring the project team’s consultants, maintaining client relationships, and providing support in the areas of ERP consulting, ancillary systems, and integrations.

Job Duties:

Consulting Responsibilities:

  • Architects & leads ERP implementations of Deltek Costpoint
  • Uses the BDO framework to assign and/or assume responsibility for projects’ phases and works directly with clients to accomplish objectives
  • Oversees various technology integrations leveraging specific system(s) knowledge
  • Performs implementation engagement(s), independently and collaboratively
  • Interprets corporate & entity-level (Federal, non-profit, etc.) compliance as it relates to ERP & technology
  • Reviews and develops Statements of Work or Proposals to secure new business, including but not limited to participating in Business Development meetings, developing relationships with clients and networking activities
  • Other duties as required

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in the continuous improvement of BDO’s Deltek Practice
  • Mentors, develops, and trains teammates on the use of the current software tools and Industry Specialty Services methodology
  • Reviews and evaluates work prepared by teammates

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, required
  • MBA, MPAcc, preferred

Experience:

  • Ten (10) or more years of combined, and relevant, experience in accounting & system-focused knowledge, required
  • Experience with Government contracting, nonprofit, and other highly regulated industries, preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP & technology implementation best practices, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • CPA, CMA, or PMP, preferred
  • ERP or technology certifications, preferred

Software:

  • Deltek Costpoint, required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
  • IBM Cognos, required
  • Other ERP solutions, Unanet, Jamis, Oracle Fusion, Procas, etc., preferred
  • Additional database management or analytical tools experience (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI), preferred

Language:

  • N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience presenting to and interacting with senior executives and decision-makers
  • A thorough understanding of the Costpoint fundamentals – Project, Account and Org, and how they are used and can be configured required
  • Proficient in the Deltek Costpoint solution across multiple Domains, e.g. four or more, including their respective control screens required
  • Experienced in data mapping and data conversion using various automation tools required
  • Knowledge of and experience complying with Government Contracting rules, regulations and contract-specific requirements required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writing
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to follow and apply specific rules and regulations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $150,000 - $175,000

Maryland Range: $150,000 - $175,000

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $150,000 - $175,000
