StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a full-time Contracts Manager to support our corporate operations. The Contracts Manager will play a key role in contract development, negotiation, administration, and compliance activities. This position conducts detailed analysis, reviews terms and conditions, and provides informed recommendations to ensure StraConโ€™s contractual and business interests are fully protected.
The Contracts Manager will work closely with both customers and executive leadership and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Duties Include:
  • Direct and oversee contracts and subcontracts throughout lifecycle from proposal efforts to contract award, compliance, administration of deliverables and closeout
  • Develop, negotiate, and administer T amp;M, Labor Hour, Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable/Award and Fixed Fee type Subcontracts, Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements consistent with government client requirements in accordance with the company, and FAR/DFAR procurement policies and procedures
  • Compile and maintain accurate contract data in the appropriate business system(s) e.g.: Deltek Costpoint
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders through to the closeout process to ensure contractual obligations have been satisfied.
  • Conduct RFP reviews, contract related proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract and subcontract administration, including contract kick-offs, reporting, and close outs for IDIQs, Task Orders, and other Contracts
  • Assist with contract risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensures compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other U.S. Government policies and procedures providing guidance to team members to ensure contract requirements are met
  • Track and manage contract and task order periods of performance
  • Manage and implement contract and subcontract modifications
  • Provide guidance in developing and implementing company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate activity with various corporate departments, Accounting, IT, HR, Program Management
  • Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with Government Agencies and other contractors
Experience Requirements:
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, work independently and proactively
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in government contract management or administration
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, procurement regulations, agency supplemental regulations, contract documents and legal specifications
  • Previous experience working with contracting officers, contracting officer representatives, and contract specialists
  • Excellent communication skills โ€“ both written and verbal
  • Understanding of labor requirements associated with federal contracts e.g.: SCA, Davis-Bacon Act, and associated requirements
  • Experience in proposal development is a plus
Desired Experience:
  • Joint Venture, CTA, NDA, and Teaming Agreement management and negotiation expertise
  • Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint
  • Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM)
  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business or in an associated discipline. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
