JOB TITLE: Coating Technician
LOCATION: Santa Rosa, CA
PAY RATE: $27.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Operates coating machines for thin film coating processes.

  • Processes and inspects parts, including cleaning and loading parts into coating chambers.

  • Performs coating machine maintenance including assembly and disassembly of equipment, bead blasting, and target changes.

  • Uses grinders and small hand tools for machine maintenance and part processing.

  • Performs in-process measurements on coated material.

  • Performs basic troubleshooting on coating equipment and processes.

  • Operates computerized coating equipment with basic data entry for machine operation.

  • Interprets safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Uses spreadsheet software including Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.

  • Performs workplace housekeeping duties for equipment and work areas.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work any assigned shift including days, swings, mids, and weekends.

  • Ability to be on feet for approximately 80% of shift.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 38 pounds frequently and push or pull up to 45 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to wear a respirator (spirometry test required during onboarding).

  • Basic math and intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Mechanical skills for equipment assembly, disassembly, and maintenance.
