Responsibilities and Qualifications
Contract Data Analyst: We seek candidates with a strong analytical mindset, excellent R programming skills, and expertise in data visualization platforms like R Shiny, Tableau, or Qualtrics. The ideal candidate has 7 years of experience and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights to drive decision-making within the organization. Engages with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver timely insights.
  • Data analysis & visualization: Conducts exploratory data analysis, wrangles data using R, and develops visually impactful interactive dashboards using Posit, Tableau, or Grafana.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Translates analytical findings into clear, concise insights for non-technical stakeholders, provides data-driven recommendations to leadership teams, and collaborates with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define dashboard requirements and ensure visualizations accurately reflect strategic priorities.
  • Quality assurance & documentation: Ensures the accuracy of visualizations through rigorous testing, documents data methodologies, and creates user guides for interactive reports.
  • Survey integration: Leverages Qualtrics for survey design and integrates this data with other datasets to enhance overall analytical capabilities.
  • Data ingestion & transformation: Designs and implements data ingestion pipelines to collect and consolidate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and flat files; cleans and preprocesses raw datasets by handling missing values, removing duplicates, and resolving inconsistencies; and applies transformation techniques to normalize, aggregate, and reshape data into formats suitable for analysis and reporting.
  • Grafana dashboard development: Builds, maintains, and iterates on Grafana dashboards to provide real-time and historical visibility into key organizational metrics; configures data source connections; and writes performant queries to support dynamic, interactive visualizations.
  • Pipeline & dashboard monitoring: Monitors pipeline health and dashboard performance, troubleshooting data quality or latency issues as they arise.

Working Conditions
Digital Promise Global is a hybrid organization. The position is primarily working in a remote environment. Employees are expected to travel at least 4 times a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat. Additional travel may be required based on role and responsibilities.
Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast-paced working environment. Extensive computer usage and online engagement & communication. Must be willing to build inclusive relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization and external partners.
Compensation
In order to ensure that contractors are paid fairly, the Powerful Learning Team leverages standard rates to pay contractors based on the seniority level required for the role. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and project scope. Specific rates will be discussed during the interview process.
Hourly Rate: Approximately $50-$75/Hour depending on experience and project
