Job description

Contract Data Analyst I

General job summary: The Contract Data Analyst I is an entry level position that will perform a variety of data analysis and administrative activities to support the Planning and Analysis Department. This role will be primarily responsible for reconciling the Land Bank's property information through visual analysis of spatial and streetview imagery, and updating the accuracy of property data in our system of record.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Determine disposition strategies based on review of desktop survey results using available mapping and imagery tools
  • Perform a review of spatial imagery of DLBA owned property
  • Identify issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management
  • Develop regular reports and deliverables for management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team
  • Comply with all state, federal, and company guidelines, rules and regulations
  • Perform other related duties as directed

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with accessing land records data within various data platforms, including the Wayne County Register of Deeds, Detroit Base Units, and other public tools
  • Some knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
  • Some knowledge of Geographic Information Systems preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Proven track record of working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g. a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax)
  • Proficiency with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), Google Maps and Streetview, Adobe version 10 or greater
  • Knowledge of Detroit communities and respect for diverse cultures/lifestyles
