What does a qualitative data analyst do?

A Qualitative Data Analyst interprets non-numerical data to uncover patterns, themes, and insights. They analyze interviews, surveys, transcripts, and other text-based or observational data to inform decision-making. Using coding techniques, thematic analysis, and software tools like NVivo or MAXQDA, they identify key trends. Their findings help businesses, researchers, and organizations understand human behavior, customer feedback, or social phenomena.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a qualitative data analyst?
