About the Role

We are working with a client seeking a skilled Smart Contract Developer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy secure smart contracts across EVM-compatible and non-EVM blockchain networks
  • Conduct thorough smart contract audits and security reviews to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Build and maintain decentralized application infrastructure including on-chain logic and off-chain integrations
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to translate business requirements into reliable on-chain solutions
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites for all smart contract code
  • Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency, security, and scalability
  • Integrate smart contracts with front-end applications using Web3 libraries
  • Monitor deployed contracts and respond to on-chain events and incidents
  • Stay current on evolving blockchain standards, protocols, and security best practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in smart contract development
  • Expert-level proficiency in Solidity and experience with the EVM
  • Strong experience with smart contract development frameworks — Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle
  • Proficiency with Web3 integration libraries — Ethers.js or Web3.js
  • Deep understanding of common smart contract vulnerabilities — reentrancy, front-running, overflow, access control issues
  • Experience with DeFi protocols, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155), and on-chain governance mechanisms
  • Solid understanding of cryptographic principles and consensus mechanisms
  • Strong testing discipline and familiarity with formal verification concepts
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with non-EVM chains such as Solana (Rust), Cosmos, or Polkadot
  • Familiarity with Layer 2 scaling solutions — Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, or zkSync
  • Experience with oracle integrations such as Chainlink
  • Knowledge of tokenization of real-world assets and institutional blockchain applications
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in digital asset environments
  • Prior smart contract audit experience or bug bounty participation
  • Contributions to open-source Web3 projects
