Government Contract Billing Specialist

Arlington, VA - Hybrid

Join a growing finance team supporting government contracting operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with experience managing federal contract invoicing, reconciliations, and accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit invoices for CPFF, T&M, FFP, and other government contract types.
  • Reconcile billed and unbilled balances and support revenue recognition activities.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections efforts.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
  • Support contract closeouts, final invoicing, and month-end billing activities.
  • Partner with project managers, contracts, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of government contract billing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, WAWF and Cognos
  • Strong understanding of federal contract billing requirements.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and invoice processing.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
Preferred
  • Experience with contract closeouts and indirect rate adjustments.
  • Familiarity with government invoicing portals and FAR regulations.
