Job description

South Florida Autism Charter Schools, Inc. (SFACS) seeks an experienced Development Manager who will be responsible for grant writing, fundraising, marketing, and event management. Part-time position that can grow to full-time; $25-$30 per hour; salary is commensurate with experience.

Compensation:

$25 - $30 per hour


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase philanthropic support.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including the annual Ray of Hope Gala, donor appreciation events, and community engagement activities.

  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, individual donors, foundations, and community partners to expand financial support and strategic partnerships.

  • Create and oversee marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, newsletters, website content, and promotional materials to increase awareness and engagement.

  • Research, solicit, and secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions while managing donor recognition and stewardship programs.

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop annual fundraising goals, marketing plans, and community outreach strategies that align with the organization's mission and growth objectives.

  • Maintain donor databases, track fundraising performance, prepare reports, and ensure timely acknowledgments, grant support documentation, and compliance with nonprofit fundraising best practices.

  • Research grant opportunities and prepare compelling grant proposals, applications, and supporting materials; manage grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and funder relationships to support organizational programs and growth.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, event planning, marketing, donor relations, or nonprofit development.

  • Demonstrated success in securing sponsorships, cultivating donor relationships, and coordinating fundraising events and campaigns.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and represent the organization professionally.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, email marketing, donor management (CRM) systems, and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, with a valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation for meetings and events.

  • Must successfully complete and maintain a Level 2 Background Screening, including fingerprinting, in accordance with Florida law and organizational requirements.
