Job description

Job Summary:

The role involves leading key projects in design, development, and post-release support of Continuous Integration solutions for the Public Sector, while ensuring compliance with security policies and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a sense of autonomy and urgency for ownership of your areas and proactively take accountability for progress forward
• Distill environmental constraints into the design of practical guardrails that enable service owners to receive rapid, self service feedback about the efficacy and security of their service
• Transform human heavy processes into automated governance solutions.
• Review and diagnose issues; take corrective action which may include coordinating with appropriate peer teams and escalating where necessary
• Responsible for leading key projects in design, development, and post-release support of the Continuous Integration solutions used by internal teams to support DET Public Sector managed CRM infrastructure
• Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify issues and backup our infrastructure
• Evangelize the maturing governance of CI/CD pipelines with scrum teams and digest feedback for further efficiency iteration with the goal of maintaining service owner feature velocity
• Responsible for successful code deployment as part of our CI/CD delivery to our managed environments.
• Transfers knowledge throughout organization, participates in projects to develop standard processes, and mentors junior staff and new hires
• Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls
• Participate in design and discovery involving but not limited to deployment pipelines, process improvements, AI-driven automation and adoption
• Implement approved designs to meet integration requirements
• Document and present implementation designs to peers, stakeholders and review board
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align on the development environment and launch dependencies
• Evangelize on evolving new or acquired technologies. Complete POCs to show ROI.
• Incorporate new improvement ideas to power our DET PubSec managed infrastructure and work with the greater DET organization to incorporate our improvement for greater org-wide adoption
• Provide investigative support on new & existing integrations
• Establish and meet SLA for Continuous Integration platform stability and availability
• Occasional off-hour support prior to and during CRM release windows
• Work with project managers to provide timely status and feedback to stakeholders
• Partner closely with DET Business & Enterprise Architects, Product Managers, Program Staff, QA and other Business Technology teams to ensure pipeline deployment readiness
• Keep up with targeted security, technical and business training
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years experience deploying with a CI orchestration service (Jenkins, Copado, SFDX, Salesforce Enterprise Pipeline, GitActions)
• 3+ years developing infrastructure or application security for Highly Sensitive Customer Data & Environments. (Least Privilege Principle, Separation of Duties, IAM)
• 3+ years working experience scripting/programming language (Shell, Perl, Py, Ruby, JS, Go)
• 3+ years hands on experience on CI supporting toolset (GitHub, CloudHub, VSCode, JIRA or GUS, AppExchange API)
• 3+ years working experience using security scanning tools such Checkmarx, SonarQube or Foritfy.
• 3+ years hands on experience with monitoring toolset (Splunk, Grafana)
• Solid understanding of standard continuous integration processes, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, testing and monitoring
• Experience with sandbox and production deployments, user & license provisioning, runlist management, etc.
• Familiarity with SOX protocols, Change Management and Release Management principles and processes
• A related technical degree required
Preferred:
• Salesforce Basic Administrator Certifications
• Proven experience on deployment orchestration
• Familiar with the Salesforce MuleSoft product and its deployment methodology
• Able to interpret and address security scanning and monitoring results
• Good understanding of integration concepts including connected apps, unlocked packages, security certificates, handling of public/secret keys, platform events, etc
• Experience with MuleSoft administration, configuration and tuning
