Description Overview

The Continuous Improvement Engineer provides technical support as it relates to incident/deviation investigationsfor all commercialized products at Perrigo facilities within Michigan.

Scope of the Role
  • Provide technical expertise and support to identify root causes of incidents and deviations
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents and deviations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate investigations and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of improvement in manufacturing processes
    Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance continuousimprovement efforts.
  • Support ODR activities by helping define base equipment conditions, inspection points, and lubrication standards.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance to identify and eliminate sources of contamination and hard to access areas.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure ODR routines strengthen equipment reliability and align with continuous improvement objectives.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
  • Knowledge of principles, concepts and practices in pharmaceutical sciences and manufacturing processes.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organization and communication skills, ability to work effectively with staffmembers at all levels, strong technical writing skills, familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Experience with operator focused reliability programs (ODR, Autonomous Maintenance, TPM) preferred.
  • Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, including experience with investigations and/or developing andrecommending process improvements.
  • Computer literacy with a working knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects with minimal guidance and to meet project deadlines.
