Position Summary / Overview

QNITY hasan exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Engineer, CMPT business located in Newark Delaware.

This role will drive continuous and step-change improvements in the manufacturing plant across EH&S, Quality, Productivity, and Reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yield, processes and increase efficiencies.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities through data analysis and process mapping and proposing solutions to solve them.
  • Developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement efforts.
  • Creating dashboards in Power BI and JMP script to efficiently query, analyze, and visualize data, and enabling rapid insights and decision-making.
  • Creating process documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training material to ensure sustainability of the improvements.
  • Providing guidance, training, and coaching to employees and teams on continuous improvement methods and tools, such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Building strong relationships and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performing root cause analysis and developing corrective actions for issues and quality problems that arise during production.
  • Conducting time and motion studies or value stream mapping to identify areas of waste and inefficiency.
  • Developing and implementing standard work processes and procedures to ensure consistency and reduce variability.
  • Analyzing and optimizing production line layouts, material handling, and staffing levels to improve throughput and product quality.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage and lead Kaizen events for process improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in engineering or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (manufacturing, reliability, engineering, etc.)
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and/or JMP script
  • The ability to solve problems and prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead through influence; able to take a "hands-on" approach with operators, technicians, and engineers to drive change and get results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Green belt project leader certification and relevant lean practitioner certification
