Robertson& Companyis seeking an experiencedSenior Recruitment Consultant to join our VMS Temporary Staffing Division in Downtown Toronto. This is a senior, hands-on recruitment delivery role with mentoring responsibility and exposure to client leadership, designed for a high-performing recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative environment.

In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for VMS and professional placements, manage contractor and candidate relationships, and provide guidance to Recruiters and Recruitment Consultants. You will also act as a key escalation point and serve as backup to Recruitment Delivery and Client Services leadership as needed.

Key Accountabilities

  • Source and attract candidates using a variety of creative and data-driven techniques
  • Build andmaintaindeep candidate networks within specialized market verticals
  • Conduct phone screens and in-depth interviews for active requirements and pipeline candidates
  • Create high-quality candidate summaries, assessments, and detailed database notes
  • Submit shortlists with clear value propositions to Client Services and VMS teams
  • Skill-market candidates internally to support both VMS and Professional Placement teams
  • Coordinate interviews, prepare and coach candidates, and conduct post-interview follow-ups
  • Negotiate offers and manage the onboarding process end-to-end
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates and contractors, resolving issues and managing expectations
  • Build long-term, trusted candidate relationships
  • Handle escalations and difficult conversations on behalf of the recruitment team
  • Ensure database accuracy and compliance requirements are consistently met
  • Conduct 360-degree references (manager, peer, stakeholder) to support candidate decisions,identifynew talent, and surface sales leads
  • Execute due diligence and risk management requirements as needed
  • Mentor, coach, and train Recruiters and Recruitment Consultants
  • Providetechnical guidance, market intelligence, and candidate feedback to Client Services Managers
  • Support new workflows, process improvements, and best practices
  • Assistwith recruiter identification, retention, and development
  • Act as backup to the Manager, Recruitment Delivery and Client Services Managers, including client-facing support and meetings
  • Exceed coverage, quality, and placement targets
  • Operate with a consultative, service-excellence mindset while balancing speed and precision

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

  • Agency or corporate recruitment experience
  • Proven experience building and managing an onsite or contingent workforce of 40+ contractors
  • Experience working in VMS or high-volume contract environments is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to listen, influence, and manage diverse personalities
