Job description

Senior Production Program Manager - E-7

Company:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an experienced Senior Production Program Manager (Level M) for a 12-18 month assignment in the United Kingdom for an International Temporary Assignment (ITA) to lead the production build of two United States (US) Air Force (AF) E-7 rapid prototype aircraft-a groundbreaking platform set to redefine surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

We're looking for a dynamic leader with strong manufacturing and program management expertise to guide a global Boeing team and 3rd party modification site supplier through this critical production effort. This is a high-visibility role offering extensive interaction with senior Boeing leaders and key customers within the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers Division. You will report directly to the E-7 Production Program Management Director and play a vital role in delivering this advanced capability to the warfighter. The US home base for this role will be Oklahoma City, OK.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

This is a Long-Term Assignment to Birmingham, UK for up to 12-18 months. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:Lead and manage the USAF E-7 modification programs, ensuring alignment with production performance goals.
  • Driving Performance:Actively drive production performance to ensure alignment with cost and schedule targets, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Customer Engagement:Support executive-level customer engagements, providing updates on program status and addressing customer questions.
  • Operational Excellence:Drive operational excellence across all program facets, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Interface with Leadership:Serve as the primary interface with the E-7 program leadership team regarding production program activity and performance to plan.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Provide leadership across BDUK (Boeing Defense UK), BDA (Boeing Defense Australia), BDS (Boeing Defense Systems), and the 3rd party modification supplier to ensure cohesive program execution.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
  • 1+ year of experience in a customer facing role engaging with internal and/or external customers
  • Experience working within a fast-paced team environment which required strong communication skills to frequently interact with program leadership, internal and external customer representatives, and development teams

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
