About this Position

As Oklahoma's only College of Veterinary Medicine, Oklahoma State University plays a vital role in strengthening rural veterinary care across the state. This Manager will serve as a key member of the College of Veterinary Medicine team, providing leadership and oversight for initiatives that expand rural veterinary capacity and support the next generation of foodanimal and mixedanimal practitioners. This position will coordinate and administer all aspects of rural veterinary scholarship programs, including application management and communications. This position will be responsible for fundraising and donor stewardship, and compliance with legislative and industry requirements. The Manager will also serve as a liaison for rural veterinary medicine with industry partners, and other stakeholders. This role will also oversee some rural-focused recruitment programs for high school and undergraduate students, including major initiatives such as ExpOSUre and 4H Veterinary Sciences Short Course. The Manager will organize and administer rural clerkship experiences, working closely with faculty, preceptors, and community veterinarians to ensure high-quality, practiceready training opportunities. The Manager of Veterinary Medicine Programs will collaborate with college leadership, development officers, and external partners to advance strategic goals; provide professional support to students, faculty, and stakeholders; and make independent, informed decisions that uphold program integrity and meet college expectations. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, initiative, relationshipbuilding ability, and a commitment to serving rural Oklahoma.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's

    Animal Science, Ag Econ, Ag Communications, Ag Business, Ag Leadership, Ag Education, or related field.

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Four years of related experience.
    Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, initiative, relationshipbuilding ability, and a commitment to serving rural Oklahoma.
