Job description

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Entarian is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) SME to support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Delta 8. Space Delta 8 is the SATCOM war-fighting lead for the US Space Force and leads the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS) with points of presence located at multiple sites CONUS and OCONUS, providing the day-to-day operational support needed to manage DoD's satellite communications capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Verifying the contents of the databases are consistent among the different systems
  • Providing the expert knowledge required to ensure database integrity and database replications
  • Act as the main lead in troubleshooting problems and inconstancies causing system errors

Salary range: $115,000.00 - $165,000.00

Minimum Qualifications
  • US Active Top Secret or TS/SCI level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years database management experience in large or mission-critical environments, high volume transaction systems or multi-tenant architecture
  • Certifications in Oracle, SQL or PostgreSQL (PostgreSQL is current database format used for WSOMS)
  • Certifications per DoDD 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Management
  • Expert in the area of network architecture and design
  • Experience designing, configuring and optimizing LAN/WAN architectures; implementing high-availability and fail-over solutions
  • Provide 24/7/365 immediate, on-call support for WSOMS sites
