Key responsibilities

  • Build and execute the global editorial strategy to position the brand as an authority on humanoid robotics and related topics.

  • Create, oversee, and coordinate a diverse range of content formats across multiple channels to engage target audiences and support brand objectives.

  • Lead, manage, and scale the editorial team and external contributors, implementing workflows and measuring content performance.

Job description

Agility's commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.

About the Role

Humanoid technology will transform labor. The potential of this shift has captivated everyone from industry leaders and investors to tech enthusiasts and the general public. There is a need for storytelling that cuts through the hype to bring a clear, authoritative, and trusted voice to this space.

As Head of Editorial and Content, you will build the narrative engine and publishing operation that grounds this conversation in reality. You'll help key audiences understand the true potential of humanoids, the technical breakthroughs making them possible, and why now is the time to prepare for deployment. Leading a team of content strategists, storytellers, social experts, and creatives, you will turn complex innovations into captivating stories across every major channel.

The ideal candidate has scaled an editorial or content engine from scratch at a category-defining startup or modern media outlet.

About the Work
  • Define our global editorial strategy: Position our brand as the definitive authority on humanoid robotics, the future of physical labor, and deploying this technology at scale.
  • Build a destination media presence: Partner with our Creative Director and Digital Marketing to transform our owned site and digital channels into high-retention destinations that pull in audiences and keep them returning.
  • Shape high-impact technology narratives: Translate complex technical concepts into engaging content that helps audiences of all backgrounds understand humanoid technology and Agility's advantage.
  • Mine the organization for insights: Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal subject matter experts and with external consultants, strategic partners and suppliers to extract unique points of view and story angles.
  • Publish across formats: Write, edit, and oversee a diverse portfolio of written, video, and audio content including long-form essays, short-form takes, technical explainers, customer case studies, clips, newsletters, and flagship industry reports.
  • Orchestrate cross-channel impact: Maintain the content calendar and partner with Creative, Comms, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing to ensure every piece of content is packaged dynamically for social platforms, video, podcast platforms, newsrooms, and customer touchpoints.
  • Scale an AI-native publishing engine: Implement modern, AI-assisted workflows to supercharge editorial research, capacity, and distribution without sacrificing human taste, rigor, or style.
  • Build and lead the team: Recruit, manage, and mentor a world-class team of internal content strategists and creatives and augment their work with external writers, production capabilities and creative contributors.
  • Measure & Report: Determine success metrics and develop a consistent cadence for reporting, managing optimization tests and determining next best steps based on data collection.
What Success Looks Like
  • Destination Status: Our platform is widely recognized as the most trusted and insightful source of truth for the humanoid robotics industry.
  • Narrative Leadership: We consistently shape the broader market conversation, leading to organic media pickup, increased mindshare, and industry attribution.
  • Audience Growth & Engagement: Traffic, subscriber counts, and high-intent engagement grow steadily across web, newsletters, and social platforms.
  • Publishing Velocity: A seamless publishing rhythm that operates with the agility of a newsroom, without compromising brand and commercial content priorities.

About You

  • 8+ years of editorial leadership: Proven track record leading an in-house editorial function at a tech company that treats content as a product or at a media/tech publication.
  • Exceptional taste and editorial judgment: An innate sense for what is actually interesting, credible, and news-worthy versus what reads as generic corporate marketing.
  • Reporter's instincts with high technical fluency: The ability to get to the core of complex topics, and translate them into captivating narrative.
  • Familiarity with—but not a reliant on—AI: An ability to incorporate AI into the editorial process without over-reliance or sacrificing quality.
  • Proven platform experience: Mastery of modern content ecosystems (web, newsletters, social, video, distribution loops) and how to package stories for maximum reach and impact.
  • Builder mindset: Experience shaping an editorial function, introducing lightweight processes, managing freelance networks, and maintaining high publication cadence under ambitious deadlines.
  • Execution excellence: You prioritize ruthlessly, create structure and clarity to keep teams moving forward and focused.
Bonus Points
  • Ownership: You proactively identify opportunities, take initiative on solutions, and follow through on commitments.
  • Trust: You listen as much as you talk and take responsibility for collective success.
  • Adaptability: You're smart with resources, focus on outcomes, and can pivot effectively as our industry evolves.
