To thrive in Content Optimization, you need expertise in SEO, keyword research, analytics, and a solid understanding of digital marketing principles, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and various content management systems is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, creativity, and effective communication help professionals stand out in this role. These skills ensure content reaches the right audience, performs well in search rankings, and aligns with business goals.

Keeping up with frequent changes in search engine algorithms and best practices is also crucial. Addressing these challenges involves ongoing communication with team members, continuous learning, and using analytics tools to measure and refine optimization strategies.

This role will collaborate across web development, content, and marketing teams to execute SEO initiatives, support site quality, and contribute to a high-performing digital experience.
This position is well-suited for someone with a technical inclination who is also comfortable supporting content initiatives. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who can move between auditing a page, writing a ticket for a developer, and contributing to content optimization work.
Key Responsibilities
Technical SEO & Site Quality
• Support site audits to identify technical issues including crawlability, indexation, page speed, and structured data.
• Monitor Core Web Vitals and flag performance regressions in partnership with development teams.
• Assist with QA for site migrations and template launches across staging and production environments.
Content & Optimization Support
• Support keyword research, on-page optimization, and internal linking initiatives.
• Contribute to content briefs, metadata updates, and optimization recommendations across key page types.
• Assist with SEO testing and experimentation (e.g., title tags, meta descriptions, copy variants).
Collaboration & Execution
• Write clear tickets for SEO issues and work cross-functionally with development and content teams to see them through.
• Participate in Agile sprint workflows to ensure SEO tasks are properly scoped and delivered.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and scale output across SEO workflows.
Reporting & Insights
• Pull performance data from Google Search Console, GA4, and PageSpeed Insights to support reporting.
• Track the impact of SEO changes over time and surface findings to the broader team.
Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) required.
• 1-3 years of SEO experience; a technical background is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, and Screaming Frog.
• Basic understanding of HTML and how search engines crawl and render content.
• Experience using AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with development and content teams.
• Background in ecommerce, home improvement, or B2C manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
