Job description

The Marketing Content Specialist develops compelling written and digital content that supports storytelling, SEO performance, and lead generation across multiple senior living communities (15-20 brands).This role focuses on blogs, website content, thought leadership, and online presence management, ensuring each community's story is communicated clearly, consistently, and authentically.

What You'll Do:  

Content Development 

  • Write and edit blog articles, website content, and marketing copy
  • Conduct interviews with community leaders, residents, families, and corporate teams
  • Develop stories, testimonials, and educational content
  • Maintain a content calendar aligned with campaigns and seasonal initiatives
  • Refresh and optimize existing content to maintain relevance

SEO & Digital Content Support

  • Conduct basic keyword research to inform content topics
  • Optimize content for search visibility and user engagement
  • Collaborate with digital partners on performance insights

Online Listings & Reputation Support

  • Maintain accurate business listings across directories (Google, Yelp, etc.)
  • Monitor reviews and engagement trends
  • Coordinate with communities on updates and improvements

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track content performance indicators (traffic, engagement, conversions)
  • Provide recommendations to improve effectiveness

Secondary / Backup Responsibilities

  • Assist with social media copywriting and campaign support
  • Help coordinate community content submissions
  • Provide backup support for social posting during peak periods
  • Support content generation and blog development for the LCS website 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field or equivalent experience required
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in content marketing, communications, or digital marketing or other applicable professional experience
  • Time management, attention to detail, highly developed organizational skills, follow up and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Ability to translate complex topics into engaging content
  • Understanding of SEO principles and digital content strategy
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Analytical skills for use in evaluating metrics and data related to performance of marketing efforts
  • Experience managing social media crises and protecting brand reputation
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Excellent project management skills
