Job Description:

Digital Marketing Specialist and Content II

Job Purpose: This role drives customer growth by managing and optimizing on-site content and digital experiences across Upbound Group's portfolio of brand websites. Working at the intersection of content strategy, marketing, and data-informed experimentation, this individual will use AI tools to accelerate content production, sharpen on-site messaging, and support growth-focused web experiences across all brands (Rent-A-Center, Acima, Get It Now, HomeChoice, and Upbound). This role collaborates closely with Marketing, Product Managers and Personalization teams to attract new customers, increase site engagement, and grow revenue through the website channel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the planning, prioritization, and lifecycle management of website content, including content calendars, landing page roadmaps, metadata governance, legal updates, and ongoing content optimization initiatives.
  • Drive the timely delivery and implementation of content and experience updates to meet business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Leverage AI tools for content drafting, on-site copy optimization, and performance analysis to increase content velocity, improve relevance, and reduce time-to-publish.
  • Collaborate with the Optimization Testing team on A/B and multivariate tests for on-site retention content; support QA prior to launch and facilitate handoff of winning variations to the Product team.
  • Analyze on-site behavior, engagement metrics, and retention data to identify content gaps and opportunities; translate findings into actionable site improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business goals, align content and digital experiences accordingly, and ensure consistent communication throughout project lifecycles to drive transparency, alignment, and successful execution.
  • Perform QA testing for Salesforce Content Management platform enhancements and updates, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with business requirements across all supported businesses.
  • Collaborate with content creators to maintain a high standard of content quality and brand alignment.
  • Stay current on on-site retention strategies, AI tool capabilities, and online retail best practices while conducting research and development to identify new opportunities, improve processes, and enhance website content performance.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Content Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Lifecycle, or digital content
  • Hands-on experience with AI content, personalization, or analytics tools
  • Knowledge of online promotion, navigation, and marketing/sales best practice standards
  • Project execution skills and the ability to gain alignment among cross-functional internal teams and external partners to deliver site updates on time
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and executive stakeholders
