Gopher is looking for an experienced content writer with SEO/AI expertise to join our team and support the execution of digital content plans. 


This role will be a key member of the Digital Presence Team, which is responsible for the presentation and performance of Gopher Sport and its family of brands across a broad set of digital channels including search, display, social, video, and AI. Description:

As a Marketer focused on digital content, SEO, and GEO, you will execute against department plans by developing and managing high-quality digital content. Your goal will be to enhance the customer's experience on our websites with our brands and products while driving relevant site traffic through improved rankings and citations across search and AI results.  


This is a full time, in-person position in Owatonna, MN 


As a Marketer focused on digital content creation for AI and SEO, you will execute against department plans by developing and managing high-quality digital content. Your goal will be to enhance the customer's experience on our websites with our brands and products while driving relevant site traffic through improved rankings and citations across search and AI results.  


What will you be doing? 

1. Producing New Web Content: Research new subject areas, produce new authoritative content, format to maximize discoverability in search and AI-generated results, and launch content to websites on time.

2. Improving Existing Content: Manage existing web content; make changes or run experiments to increase user engagement and drive relevant web traffic from search engines and AI chatbots.

3. Monitoring Content Performance and Appearance: Monitor the appearance of our brands, products, etc. in search and AI results to ensure they are accurately presented and emphasize the correct content.

4. Managing Technical SEO: Ensure the technical elements of all websites are optimized for discoverability. Monitor performance metrics and maintain/fix/address issues.

Publishing Reporting: Publish clear, accurate reporting on web content production and performance. 

Requirements

1. BA/BS in Marketing, English, or related degree. Focus or coursework on digital marketing preferred.

2. 1+ years managing SEO/GEO initiatives with track record of performance improvement. 

3. Proficient writer with proven experience writing useful, highly-discoverable web content across a diverse set of products and industries.

4. Experience with Excel using low to mid-level functions (xlookups, powerpivots, etc.) preferred. 

5. Experience in a B-to-I or B-to-B marketing/advertising department preferred.
