Job Overview
We are seeking an Associate Social Content Director/Social Content Director to lead the development of social-first ideas, concepts and content across our client portfolio. Seated in Colle McVoy's Earned and Influence practice, this role is responsible for translating social strategy and cultural intelligence into compelling creative work that resonates with audiences in their feeds.
This role operates as the creative lead for social content, guiding creator teams and shaping output from brief through execution. The ideal candidate is a social-first thinker with strong creative instincts, a clear point of view on what works and the ability to lead teams in developing high-quality, platform-native content at scale.
Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Briefing
  • Lead development of social creative briefs, translating brand strategy, campaign priorities and cultural insights into clear creative direction
  • Partner with strategy and performance leads to ensure briefs are grounded in audience behavior and platform dynamics
  • Define content approaches that are platform-native, culturally relevant and aligned to brand voice

Content & Creative Leadership
  • Lead ideation and development of social-first concepts across campaigns and always-on content
  • Guide creator teams in concepting, making and evolving content across formats
  • Ensure all content meets a high standard of quality, consistency and platform relevance
  • Provide clear feedback and direction to strengthen ideas before and during execution

Cultural Intelligence & Trend Application
  • Continuously monitor social culture, trends and emerging formats to inform creative direction
  • Translate cultural signals into actionable content ideas and creative opportunities for brands
  • Identify and act on reactive opportunities, quickly developing and executing content to capitalize on timely moments
  • Push teams to show up in ways that feel current, relevant and differentiated

Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor social content creators, providing direction, feedback and support across projects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, account, media and production partners to bring ideas to life
  • Partner closely with strategy and performance leads to ensure continuous feedback loops between content and performance
  • Act as the creative voice for social in internal and client conversations

Required Skills
  • Strong creative instincts and a clear point of view on what resonates in social
  • Proven ability to develop and lead social-first concepts from brief through execution
  • Experience guiding and managing creators or content teams
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, formats, trends and content behaviors

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in social, content or creative roles, preferably within an agency environment
  • Experience leading social content development across multiple brands or campaigns
  • Experience managing or mentoring creative or creator teams

At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
