Pay Rate: $10.00/hour
Job Description:
The School of Music is looking for up to three music students to assist with creating social media content for Instagram and Facebook. Generate content from the music student perspective and produce reels, carousels of images, stories, etc. throughout the school year. Students can also turn raw materials (photos and videos) into on-brand content for Instagram and Facebook. Ideal for: Music students already capturing and sharing content on social media about their student or musician journeys, who are familiar with social editing tools like Adobe Express or Canva.
Logistics:
This is a flexible role for busy music students to share content they may already be developing to showcase themselves, their music studios, ensembles, bands, etc. While a set number of hours is not required each week, we are looking for a steady stream of student-generated content to post on our channels each month.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture behind the scenes footage, rehearsals or performances to share the story of attending Baylor's School of Music
  • Design and draft Instagram reels/storyboard short-form videos, carousel photo series, and create stories using Canva and/or Adobe Express.
  • Repurpose School of Music event photos and videos into social-friendly content, including short-form videos or reels.
  • Help maintain a consistent look and voice across multiple School of Music Instagram accounts.
  • Ensure all content meets deadlines and brand standards.
  • Creativity needed to pursue new engagement and viral content ideas and execute them in a timely manner.
  • Organization and planning to create a social media content in advance
  • Communicative skills to help tell stories through social media
  • Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
