What is content development?

Content development is the process of researching, creating, editing, and organizing information for digital platforms such as websites, blogs, social media, and e-learning materials. Professionals in this field ensure that content is accurate, engaging, and tailored to the target audience. Their work often involves collaborating with subject matter experts, designers, and marketers to produce high-quality material that meets business or educational goals.

What are some common challenges content development professionals face when balancing creativity with brand guidelines?

Content development professionals often navigate the challenge of producing engaging and innovative materials while adhering to established brand guidelines and tone. This balance requires creative problem-solving to ensure content is fresh and audience-focused, yet consistent with the company’s messaging and standards. Developing a strong understanding of the brand’s voice and maintaining a content style guide are also key strategies for success in this role.

Senior Content Strategist, Product Enablement

Engrain

Greenwood Village, CO • On-site

$102K - $120K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO

Job description

Engrain builds map-based tech that's redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies-and 20,000 properties-to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it's working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we've been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.
We're not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don't do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we're entering a phase of serious scale.
We are looking for an autonomous, high-impact Senior Content Strategist to join our Experience Design team. In this role, you will own the narrative architecture and technical enablement across our entire product ecosystem. You will be responsible for translating complex product capabilities and API structures into clear, human-centered documentation, developer hubs, and training collateral-while partnering directly with Marketing to co-develop core messaging platforms that maintain strict narrative and target audience consistency across product enablement, GTM, and demand generation functions.
You will report directly to the VP, Experience Design and work cross-functionally with Product Design, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success.
What you'll do...
  • Technical Enablement & Developer Hub: Lead the strategy, architecture, and authoring for our developer hub, API specs, integration guides, and customer help resources-translating complex backend workflows into logical, accessible documentation.
  • GTM & Demand Gen Messaging Alignment: Partner directly with Marketing to co-build core messaging platforms, terminology standards, and voice-and-tone frameworks, ensuring unified positioning across product enablement, demand generation campaigns, and sales collateral.
  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Connect Engineering, Product Design, Customer Success, and Marketing to synchronize product rollouts and guarantee that marketing campaign promises directly match product enablement and onboarding realities.
  • AI-Augmented Velocity: Integrate modern AI workflows to offload routine writing and content synthesis execution, focusing your bandwidth on high-impact technical narratives, content development plans and strategic enablement assets.
  • Data-Driven Outcomes & Design Culture: Treat documentation as a product by tracking engagement metrics to accelerate self-service adoption and time-to-market value, while actively contributing to our collaborative design culture.

Requirements
What you offer us...
  • Experience: 5+ years of digital content strategy, technical writing, or product enablement experience in a B2B SaaS or PropTech ecosystem. Proven track record of partnering with Product Marketing and Demand Gen teams to author messaging platforms and align product narrative across go-to-market channels
  • Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating technical documentation systems, developer hub content, product enablement materials, and clear, structured writing that simplifies complex technical subjects.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to operate independently. You don't wait for step-by-step instructions; you identify documentation gaps, partner directly with subject matter experts, and deliver polished output end-to-end.
  • Tools & AI Literacy: Proficiency with modern documentation hubs, CMS environments, and Figma, Claude, along with a forward-thinking comfort using AI writing tools to streamline production and elevate technical synthesis.
  • Collaboration Style: An open, communicative partner who thrives in a scaling environment-someone who loves to brainstorm with engineers, align strategic vision with marketing counterparts, and ensure every customer touchpoint speaks with one coherent voice.
  • Mindset: A curious, outcome-driven problem-solver who uses modern tools to elevate their thinking, balancing big-picture strategy with an obsessive attention to detail.

What we offer you...
  • Salary Disclosure for Colorado: base salary of $102,000 - $120,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate's experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
  • 100% coverage of employee's health, dental and vision insurance with basic plan
  • Up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Up to 18 days annually of PTO & 10 holidays per year
  • Dog-friendly office
  • 401(k) match up to 4 percent
  • Annual stipend for personal growth through our Grow475 program
  • On-site amenities including a professional fitness center, flexible & modern workspace, coffee bar, happy hour taps & team member lounge

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, or other legally protected status.
