Job description

The Coordinator Area Container Portfolio Management role supports the execution of regional container portfolio activities by coordinating the phase-out of leased and owned equipment. The incumbent will work closely with the Regional Container Portfolio Management Team and external partners, this role monitors container inventory, coordinates equipment repositioning and returns, and helps ensure efficient container utilization. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Associate's degree required.  
Experience in global logistics, shipping and equipment management. 
Strong analytical and coordination skills. 
Proficiency in MS Office, FIS System or similar reporting tools. 
Result oriented and driven to deliver on agreed targets. 
Working knowledge of container operations, dispatch procedures, and associated 
technical processes. 

This position is in the United States and requires eligibility to work in the United States and completion of the employment eligibility form required under federal law

Coordinate with the Regional Container Portfolio Management Team to execute regional 
equipment plans and priorities. 
Track leased and owned phase-out containers daily. 
Identify potential phase-out units based on monthly targets. 
Maximize phase-out returns from surplus locations. 
Obtain phase-out approvals from third parties, including one-way partners. 
Block and segregate potential phase-out containers at depots, terminals, and rail ramps. 
Issue work orders to reposition containers being returned to leasing companies, sold by 
rail, or truck. 
Notify motor carriers of approved termination locations. 
Track and trace overdue phase-out containers. 
Negotiate costs associated with phase-out execution. 
Coordinate with the M&R team to return damaged containers in the most cost-effective 
manner. 
Ensure systems accurately reflect completed terminations. 
Maintain daily spreadsheets and update required reports.
