Position Available: Product Manager I (Consumer Product)
Job Summary:
Product Manager I supports product and project development initiatives that meet internal and external expectations, working independently while collaborating cross-functionally to drive growth, optimize sourcing, and launch new products. The role contributes to moderately complex initiatives with a strong focus on category expansion opportunities working with multiple departments across the organization and requires deep knowledge of assigned product categories, including specifications, market positioning, and performance.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manages multiple projects with multiple stakeholders; achieves on-time delivery of multiple, simultaneous timelines.
  • Provides strategic contributions to assigned category
  • Ensures products are competitively priced, meeting price image / financial objectives
  • Bring new products to market by:
  • Analyzing proposed product requirements
  • Managing product development programs
  • Preparing return-on-investment (ROI) analyses
  • Establishing timelines with third-party engineering and manufacturing partners
  • Manage the development and advancement of new products, including direct coordination with third-party vendors on scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Ensure evolving client needs are met throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Define quality control protocols for new items in partnership with Product Quality teams
  • Negotiate directly with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Global Sourcing Management
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers at all organizational levels
  • Document sourcing project performance, action plans, timelines, and issue resolution
  • Work closely with Supply Chain leadership to ensure supply continuity for all new product portfolios
  • Handle requests for information (RFIs), quotations (RFQs), proposals, and bid processes
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, policies, plans, and reports
  • Create executive-ready presentations in collaboration with Global Sourcing and Commercial teams
  • Support executives and senior management with data-driven insights that directly impact revenue growth
  • Other Duties as Assigned
Skills amp; Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience with exposure to one or more of the following: Global sourcing, Supply chain management, Category management, Project Management, Product development, and Manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of product information data flow (item, vendor, cost, price), category trends, category performance analysis, systems, process, and analysis
  • Strong enthusiasm for product development and manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency in Chinese, Vietnamese, German, and/or Spanish is a plus
  • Strong ability to balance creative thinking with process-oriented execution
  • Excellent project management skills with exceptional planning and organizational capabilities
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to support recommendations through data, logic, and insights
  • Proven self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
