POSITION SUMMARY
The Consumer Analytics Summer Intern will support the Consumer Analytics organization by assisting with data-driven insights, reporting, and analytical initiatives that inform customer, product, and business strategies. This internship is designed for undergraduate students and provides hands-on exposure to how analytics shapes decision-making within a regional banking environment.
Interns will work alongside experienced analysts and business partners to explore customer behaviors, evaluate product performance, and contribute to actionable insights that enhance the bank's consumer offerings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development of data analyses and reporting to uncover trends in customer behavior, product usage, and market performance.
  • Assist in pulling, cleaning, and validating data from internal systems and analytics platforms.
  • Contribute to dashboards, visualizations, and presentations for business stakeholders.
  • Partner with analysts to interpret findings and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Participate in ongoing analytics projects such as customer segmentation, campaign performance analysis, or product optimization.
  • Conduct ad hoc research and benchmarking to support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing, Product Management, Risk, and Finance.
  • Present findings and insights as part of an end-of-internship capstone project.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES / INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
  • Gain exposure to how analytics supports consumer banking strategy and decision-making.
  • Build foundational skills in data analysis, visualization tools, and storytelling with data.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data concepts.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred:
  • Exposure to Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Coursework in statistics, data analysis, econometrics, or business analytics.
  • Interest in financial services, banking, or consumer behavior analytics.
