Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking an experienced AI-Enabled Business Development Analyst/Consultant to support capture, proposal development, and opportunity research across our federal portfolio. This mid-level role requires prior hands-on experience using AI tools and automation to enhance business development workflows. Candidates must arrive with the ability to independently apply AI solutions to support opportunity identification, proposal creation, analytics, and client-facing materials. No AI training is provided in-role.
This position is located in Arlington, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Independently use AI tools to draft, refine, and review RFI/RFP responses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with CGI Federal standards.
. Research, evaluate, and prioritize federal opportunities using AI-powered market intelligence systems and data-extraction tools.
. Produce AI-generated competitive analyses, procurement forecasts, agency insights, and qualification materials for internal capture reviews.
. Develop, maintain, and improve BD dashboards and analytics, leveraging AI-assisted data modeling, automation, and visualization techniques.
. Create client briefings and presentation materials using AI-supported content generation, including slide creation, talking points, and narrative development.
. Automate key BD processes such as document summarization, compliance checks, past performance mapping, and opportunity tracking using approved AI agents.
. Validate AI-generated content in collaboration with SMEs and capture teams to ensure factual accuracy and compliance with federal acquisition requirements.
. Apply best practices for responsible and secure AI usage in alignment with CGI Federal governance, without direct training or onboarding in AI tools
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 1-5 years of experience in federal contracting or proposal development within the public sector
. Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with generative AI, AI-assisted research platforms, or workflow automation tools - training will not be provided.
. Experience drafting or coordinating RFI/RFP responses and supporting federal capture activities.
. Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and validate AI-generated insights.
. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI or CRM tools preferred.
. Excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail.
. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while collaborating across distributed teams.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51,600.00 - $121,100.00.
