Job description

Bolton & Menk has a great opportunity for a Seasonal Construction Project Representative (CPR) to join our team in the Twin Cities Metro. As a member of our Construction Services team you will review construction activities for their compliance with the project plans and specifications, prepare daily observation reports, and assist in preparing the proper project documentation. Our CPRs enjoy building a team atmosphere with the construction contractor to deliver an exceptional product for the client and community. As you continue to grow there are opportunities to specialize in various types of construction such as bridges, highways, downtown reconstructs, or serve as a community's “go-to” Construction Project Representative.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Serve as construction project representative for construction projects having above average complexity..
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of construction activities.
  • Responsible for coordinating directly with clients, contractors, and engineers on day-to-day construction items.
  • Perform or coordinate construction material testing procedures and interprets results.
  • Perform or coordinate measurement of construction work products for determination of project quantities, associated payment, and production of drawings.
  • Coordinate construction site surveying scheduling and review of construction staking in the field in comparison to the project plans.
  • May perform detailed engineering computations, detailed drafting and plan production work.
  • Provide technical advice regarding construction modifications and repairs to clients, contractors and project engineers.
  • Inspect project sites and evaluate contractor work for conformance with the project plans and specifications.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma
  • Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent degree) preferred
  • MnDOT Technical Certifications for Grading and Base I & II, Concrete Field I & II, and Bituminous Streets I & II are preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of MnDOT and/or CEAM specifications, general provisions, and standard plates, is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and demonstrate an understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
  • Working understanding and experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred but not required.

Bolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $75,000 depending on years of experience and credentials

Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
