Description
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing assigned projects from initiation through completion. This role manages project execution, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. The position requires experience supporting construction and infrastructure-related projects, including the ability to read construction drawings and coordinate field activities involving trenching, plumbing, electrical power, building systems, temporary support facilities, and equipment installation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management and Execution
  • Establish and execute project work plans to support successful project delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate project activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review and interpret project drawings, blueprints, and site plans.
  • Coordinate field activities involving trenching, plumbing, electrical power, building systems, temporary support facilities, and equipment installation.
  • Procure materials, issue purchase orders, and secure permits and required approvals.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage change order proposals and execute change orders.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work, material deliveries, and equipment release to meet installation schedules.
  • Coordinate asset movement for mobilization, change orders, and demobilization.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, permits, change orders, and billing files.
  • Develop site-specific safety plans and ensure compliance with company safety standards.

Client and Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide project updates and address issues related to scope, schedule, cost, and field operations.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance
  • Conduct and document PMRs and Toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project quality standards.
  • Support safety investigations and corrective action efforts when needed.

Operational and Financial Oversight
  • Track project budgets, schedules, labor, and deliverables.
  • Draft contracts for subcontractors and third-party vendors.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure performance and contract compliance.

Problem Solving and Risk Management
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate risks or delays promptly and collaborate on solutions.
  • Maintain professionalism when addressing customer concerns or job-site challenges.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 3+ years of construction experience in commercial and residential projects
  • Knowledge of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project documentation
  • Experience coordinating field construction activities including trenching, plumbing, electrical, building systems, and equipment installation
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, contract coordination, and field operations
  • Familiarity with subcontractor coordination and insurance/client reporting processes
  • Knowledge of OSHA or equivalent safety standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
