Position Description
PALA Interstate, LLC Summary
A PALA Project Manager is the leader and primary focal point of the construction project. Each PALA Project Manager is expected to be the driving force over his/her projects ensuring success by leading with a great attitude, preparing team members properly, and being an ambassador for PALA to our Clients. While a rewarding position, exceptional organizational skills are required in this fast pace environment to achieve these expectations.
Essential Functions
  1. Upholds the highest standard for safety, quality, and professionalism for employees, co-workers, and Clients.
  2. Serves as the point of contact on assigned projects between PALA and Clients.
  3. Assists Project Supervisors in any/all aspects of project execution with a focus primarily on administrative duties.
  4. Works with various departments within PALA (e.g. Engineering, Project Services, Equipment, Accounting, etc.) to verify each group has been setup to successfully do their part on the projects.
  5. Reviews and prepares reports for both internal and external distribution.
  6. Responsible for cost control and reporting on all assigned projects utilizing PALA construction software.
  7. Assists in problem solving to make sure the project continually moves forward in the correct manner.
  8. Works with other Project Managers for resource allocation as project manpower fluctuates and projects complete.

Position Requirements
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work productively with others in a fast pace setting to achieve a common goal.
  • Construction Management/Engineering degree and/or at least 5 years of Project Management experience for heavy industrial construction.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft office.
