Job description

The Construction Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.

Construction Project Managers will use project management software to track schedules, resources, and budgets efficiently. They must balance multiple projects simultaneously, ensure client satisfaction, and maintain compliance with legal, budgets are managed and tracked, environmental, and safety standards are met or exceeded. The role demands attention to detail, strategic planning, and the ability to adapt to changing project conditions.

A Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of a construction project, from planning to completion. Core duties include:

  • Develop detailed project plan, timelines, and milestones, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and deadlines are achievable.
  • Estimate costs (Pre Con), manage budgets, control expenses, and forecast financial requirements to keep projects within budget.
  • Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Negotiate and oversee contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring compliance with agreements.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, executives, and onsite teams, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve
    issues that arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate records, including contracts, change orders, permits, and progress reports.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering,
    Architecture, or a related field is not required, if experiences of 7+ years in the field, apprenticeship or similar education or experience in Complete Construction Projects.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
    or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly advantageous.
  • Several years of experience in construction management or supervisory roles are necessary to handle large-scale projects effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and
    organizational skills are essential. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations is critical.
